About Our School Year Family-Based Programming
We believe in the power of summer camp. We believe it allows us to grow, connect, and explore. We want to bring families into the magic of camp through our school year programming.
In order to attend summer camp in 2025, all First Time Campers* must attend one of these First Time Camper events. First Time Camper Days are a day-time camp opportunity, scheduled on weekends or on Austin ISD school holidays.
At these First Time Camper Days, camp-age children will participate in various camp activities, while parents/guardians will go through stations to get you prepared for summer camp.
A supervised activity space is provided for non-campers (ages 3-7); however, for children under the age of 3, please be prepared to have your child with you throughout the day.
*Note: First Time Campers are campers from any family who has NOT had a camper attend a full session of camp in either 2023 or 2024.
*Note: Families who had a camper attend a full session of camp in either 2023 or 2024 are considered Returning Campers. Returning campers AND their siblings do NOT need to attend a First Time Camper events.
First Time Camper Event Dates
There will be 6 First Time Camper Days for summer 2025. All events will be held at at Zilker Lodge (2225 Andrew Zilker Rd, Austin). Space at these events is limited, so do not wait to register.
- First Time Camper Day #1: Sunday, January 5th from 9:30am-12:30pm
- First Time Camper Day #2: Monday, January 20th (MLK Day) from 9:30am-12:30pm
- First Time Camper Family Day #3: Saturday, February 15th from 9:30am-12:30pm
- First Time Camper Family Day #4: Sunday, March 2nd from 9:30am-12:30pm
- First Time Camper Family Day #5: Sunday, March 30th from 9:30am-12:30pm
- First Time Camper Family Day #6: Sunday, April 13th from 9:30am-12:30pm
